[b]Sarm Studio, Hook End[/b] was a UK residential recording studio, occupying a converted barn space in the manor house (built in 1580) once owned by [a=Alvin Lee].
Lee created the studio, which was known as and where [r1577770] was recorded. Upon Lee's departure, to a new studio location, the property was briefly owned by [a=Dave Gilmour] and was host to (See also: ). The location was then converted again by in the 1990s and became [b]Sarm Studio, Hook End[/b], at the time featuring one of the UK's largest SSL consoles - a 96-channel J Series frame with 80 modules. The manor provided 14 bedrooms, a gym and in-house chef. Horn then subsequently purchased 's in 1982 which became . Horn sold it in 2007 after the tragic, accidental shooting death of his wife, [a=Jill Sinclair]. It has since been reopened for recording under the name .
