Recording Studios located in Notting Hill, until 1982 known as [l=Basing Street Studios]/[l=Island Studios]. From circa May 2011 to 2012 the London studio & UK operation moved from in-house personnel to a pool of freelance engineers and producers and simply became , offering 3 suites & residency. remained unchanged.

SARM (an acronym for Trevor Horn's company Sound And Recorded Mobile) West Studios is a UK recording studio, founded by and his partner & wife [a=Jill Sinclair] in 1982, located in Notting Hill, London. The original [l=Basing Street Studios] were established by [a=Chris Blackwell], founder of [l=Island Records] and were also known as [l=Island Studios].

[a=Bob Marley]'s his personal chef cooked at SARM for most of the 1980s. Also the cathedral organ on [a=George Michael]'s album "Faith" was played there.
On 25 November 1984, Studio 1 at Sarm West was the venue for the recording of "Do They Know It's Christmas" by the members of [a=Band Aid] in support of relief efforts for the 1984–1985 famine in Ethiopia (the studio time was donated by Trevor Horn).
The studios are currently owned by [l=SPZ Group] which is a holding company belonging to Trevor Horn and his wife Jill Sinclair. The [l=Sarm Studios] complex also contain the offices of SPZ (acronym for SARM, Perfect Songs & ZTT) owned record labels [l=ZTT Records] and [l=Stiff Records] and publishing companies [l=Perfect Songs] and [l=Unforgettable Songs].
