Abbreviation: CNSAD; English: "National Academy of Dramatic Arts", France's national drama academy, located in Paris and a constituent college of the University PSL (Université Paris Sciences et Lettres). Its current location was the site of the Conservatoire de Musique from 1796-1911 (see Ancien Conservatoire, Paris) and houses the famous Theatre, which was the site of the first performance of Hector Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique in 1830, as well as the first French performances of Beethoven's Third and Fifth Symphonies.
