Stimulus Records was started at the end of 1996 as a means of releasing the more dancefloor orientated material of ever prolific label boss Paul Mac, who at the time was releasing deep string-led material for the blueprint sister label Fracture and for Josh Brent's short lived Not Guilty imprint.
