DuMonde

German Trance/Hard Trance project founded in 1997.

DuMonde emerged in 1997 as a collaboration between René Dumont, Jürgen Mutschall, and Dominik de León. With a powerful blend of euphoric melodies and driving energy, the project quickly carved out a space in the international trance scene. Their early release Tomorrow (1998) became a breakthrough success, entering Germany’s Top Ten and appearing on numerous major label compilations worldwide. Follow-up singles like See the Light (1999), Just Feel Free (2000).
In early 2001, René Dumont left the group for personal reasons. After a decade of activity, DuMonde disbanded in 2007 as Mutschall and de León moved on to focus on solo ventures.

Never Look Back (2001), and Memory (2002), God music, Human, Cold, Let me out, etc. cemented their reputation as creators of timeless club anthems that still echo through DJ sets today.

As remixers, DuMonde brought their signature sound to tracks by Alice Deejay, Push, and Barthezz, further solidifying their presence in the golden era of trance. With rising DJ popularity and consistent output, the duo—now primarily consisting of Mutschall (aka JAMX / JAMX Project) and de León (aka De Leon)—became key figures in shaping the mainstream sound of German trance in the early 2000s.

Seventeen years later, the project made a surprising and celebrated return: In 2024, DuMonde released Sometimes, marking a new chapter. Now led by founding member Jürgen Mutschall and joined by producer and audio engineer Daniel Körber (aka D.Mand), DuMonde is once again contributing to the evolution of trance music—bringing their legacy into the present.
