Yo Majesty

Yo Majesty is an American Hip Hop group from Tampa, Florida.

Their style is a hybrid of 80's style Electro Hip Hop, Bass Music, Southern Crunk, Baltimore Club Music and Ghetto House.

Rappers 'Shunda K' and 'Shon B' started out as a duo named 'Yeah Majesty' before they were joined in 2000 by gospel-raised vocalist 'Jwl B'.
After a hiatus during Shunda K's marriage, Yo! Majesty regrouped. Once they established a name for themselves on the underground club circuit, both in the US and the UK, the group self-released , the Yo EP, in 2006.

The group has toured with and [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/202605-The-Gossip?limit=500&page=1]Gossip[/url] and , featuring in the latter's 2006 parody video of the [url=https://www.discogs.com/master/89652-The-Black-Eyed-Peas-My-Humps]The Black Eye Peas' 'My Dumps'[/url] titled 'My Dumps'.

The group signed with [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/26465-Domino]Domino Records[/url] in 2007, and the label released an EP and full-length LP by the band in 2008, which included tracks produced by , and , among others.

A documentary based on the band 'Das Wassup' directed by Johannes Schaff, was released in 2017.
