The Flirtations

US American Soul group, founded early 1960s South Carolina. Originally formed in 1962 in Alabama, USA. The three vocalist line up of Ernestine Pearce, Shirley Pearce & Viola "Vie" Billups (aka Pearly Gates) relocated to the UK in 1968 where they signed with Decca. There they recorded 1 LP in 1969 plus 6 singles released through the Deram imprint (1968-1971). Later came a 1975 album on RCA and reunion albums. Other members included: Betty Pearce, Lestine Johnson and Loretta Noble.
