Originally, in 1987, [a=Witchdoctor (6)] (aka Norman Glover aka Norm Bates) & The Dominating 3 M.C.'s dropped an album titled "Kickin' It Live" on Timberwolfe Records. The Dominating 3 M.C.'s (aka The Crew) consisted of MC Count Cool Out (aka James Minor), The Mellow Nate Dee & Rock Master J.
In 1988, a single titled "Takin' No Shorts" by Witchdoctor was released on Timberwolfe Records. This single credited Witchdoctor (as The Witchdoc), MC Count Cool Out, The Mellow Nate Dee & Rock Master J as writters, with producer Suzanne McAllister Buckley.
So Witchdoctor became a group in 1988.
