Real Name: Eric Sermon and Parrish Smith
EPMD, short for Erick and Parrish Making Dollars, is a Hip Hop duo formed by Brentwood, Long Island-raised Erick Sermon and EPMD in 1987. Their monotone delivery and heavy use of funk samples allowed them to stand out among the East Coast hip hop groups. They formed the Hit Squad in the early 1990's, a crew of artists which included Redman, DJ Scratch, Das EFX, K-Solo, and Hurricane G.. EPMD has dissolved and reunited twice, but have been performing together since 2006.
