Dennis Wilson

Real Name: Dennis Miller Wilson

Dennis Wilson (born 16 February 1920, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, UK - died 15 July 1989, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, UK) was a British pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. He composed the theme music for a number of television series and sitcoms including Steptoe and Son, Death Do Us Part and Fawlty Towers.

"Dennis Wilson. This brilliant pianist started on the road to his career when most young boys are only interested in "cowboys & indians".
He began playing the piano at the age of eight & gained his first professional experience in organising the school band... If the results of his organization then were anything like those he produces now it must have been some band!" - sleeve notes to 12851254
