US label founded in 1943 by (brother of ). By 1945, it had a big hit on the Exclusive [l=Master Series (5)] by Joe Liggins & His Honeydrippers. In 1946 it had the best stock and sales rates in the entire record industry. In 1947 there would be the second and last hit for the label by Johnny Moore's Three Blazers but for an unknown reason, the song was never copyrighted, so [l=Hollywood Records (2)] tried and successfully sued [l=Exclusive Records (6)]. The record company never recovered and it stopped cutting records in 1949.
