U.S. record label (1920-1923), produced by of Orange, New Jersey. Earliest releases claimed that the "Arto Universal Record Plays Well On ANY Talking Machine" and used a universal cut. However, Arto soon switched to a standard lateral cut and eliminated the universal notation from its labels. Discs were produced in a black-label (9000) popular series and a red-label (3000) classical series. Recording was contracted to several studios including the , and Arto also drew on previously issued masters. Although Arto had a hit in February, 1921 with 's recording of "Arkansas Blues", the declared bankruptcy in April, 1923.
