Abbreviation of the Italian record company CBS Sugar S.p.A., a.k.a. CBS Sugar Compagnia Generale Del Disco S.p.A.
The company was established in 1970 through the merger of CBS Italiana S.p.A. and Sugar Music
Until 1977, CBS Sugar managed the manufacturing, promotion and distribution of CBS records in Italy, along with the running of its own sub-labels, among which CGD, Bus Production, VIP and Derby.
In 1977, CBS established it's own Italian company and CBS Sugar ceased to exist.
