Bitches Brew reflects Murphy’s instinctive eclectic leanings with a catalogue that spans musical genres from house, soul and disco to Afrobeat, dub and psychedelic rock. Most of the productions on the label have Murphy’s hand such as: her outfit Wild Rumpus with former Beefheart axe-man Gary Lucas, her Latin-tinged act Bambú with Ben Mitchell and Billie Godfrey of Sao Benitez & Mr Hermano, and her psychedelic disco duo with Ashley Beedle called DarkStarr. Other goodies on the label include remixes by Ewan Pearson, Jimpster, Domu, Charlie Dark, Justin Robertson, Riton, and Cosmodelica.
