
Rockingchair Studios
Rockingchair Studios (formerly known as Rockingchair Recording Studios) was a recording studio founded by musician and producer [a=Mark Yoshida] in 1989. The recording studio was first based in Memphis, Tennessee but relocated briefly to Nashville, Tennessee. In December of 1994, Yoshida and his business partner, musician and graphic artist [a=Brandon Seavers] (who played with Yoshida in the band [a=Six Million Dollar Band] founded the record label, [l=Rockingchair Records] and a music production company, [l=Rockingchair Productions]. In September of 1997, Rockingchair Studios "closed" its doors whereupon the equipment was moved over to the [l=Audio MasterWorks, Memphis] facility, which Yoshida and Seavers purchased and renamed [l=AudioGraphic MasterWorks]. Sessions recorded at AGMW were often credited as being recorded at Rockingchair Studios well up into the 2000's. The Rockingchair company's legal counselor was [a=David Moser (2)]. In 2014, Yoshida and Seavers opened a vinyl manufacturing plant called [l=Memphis Record Pressing].
In addition to Yoshida the following people have engineered, mixed, mastered and produced at the studio: [a=Alan Mullins], [a=Bill Pappas].
