Grand Central Records
6 releases
British hip-hop label, based in the Northern Quarter, Manchester, UK.
A Division Of Fat City Records.
Founded in early 1995 by DJ/producer [a=Mark Rae], the label was originally called "Gone Clear Records" until it was discovered that there was a promotions company trading in London with the same name.
Operational for 11 years, until the end of May 2006, when the label ceased operating as a record label. The label was allegedly investigated by the MCPS with regard to unpaid royalties, and the resultant bill was so large that it forced the label into liquidation.
There were also plans of launching a digital sublabel called "GC3" in the future.
