Owned by Chess Records during the 1960s, acquired by GRT Corporation in 1969 as part of the Chess buyout. GRT closed the plant in 1970 citing high labor costs. Records from this plant can be identified by a "WM" or "MW" (depending on reading direction), followed by a three or four digit number sometimes on the label, always etched into the runouts.
