The Danish branch of the Metronome corporation was founded as a record company in 1950 by Mats Bjerke and Bent Fabricius-Bjerre, signing Danish artists with international appeal like Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann and Nina & Frederik. In 1979, Metronome branched to movie productions, starting a new company called Metronome Productions A/S. In 1982 this company branched with the movie rental company Warner & Metronome. The company now produces TV, commercials, movies, radio and music.
In 1992 the company name changed to Metronome Entertainment A/S.
