
L'Oiseau-Lyre
French music publishing house founded in 1932 by Louise Hanson-Dyer. In 1938, they also began releasing early, renaissance, and baroque music recordings.
From November 1953 records were pressed and distributed by both in the UK and other countries, so consequently usually also had the logo.
Decca acquired the label outright in 1970. The last new recording under the label was released in 2010.
released four box sets of Christopher Hogwood's recordings: [r=13237591] (2012), [r=11024155] (2013), [r=10759194] (2014), and [r=13308540] (2015).
compiled and released three box sets of 50 discs each of L'Oiseau-Lyre recordings: [r=6305081] (2015), [r=8267831] (2016), and [r=9333727] (2017).
The French music publishing company (Les Éditions de l’Oiseau-Lyre) reverted to the parent holding, Lyrebird Press, at the University of Melbourne in 2013.
