Red Records founded by "Sound Crowd" Members Tim Hanigan and Mark Kavanagh. The names of the label and their own group all stem from their like of the Human League's early music. Red Record dissolved in late 1995 as the Sound Crowd split.
Tim Hanigan went on to be known as Mr Spring and he now runs his own Spring Recordings Label. Mark Kavanagh went on to run his own label Baby Doll Records and released tracks on a string of top UK labels such as Tripoli Trax, Trade, Vicious Circle and Stimulant. Red Records release a variety of very highly respected music over quite a range of genres. No Irish Dance label has since been as successful.
