US record company that began as a subsidiary of in 1921 and introduced its popular label that year. When went into receivership in early 1922, the Regal Record Company was sold to the . Regal was also affiliated with , which served as the sales and marketing arm for the records produced by Regal and pressed by . Throughout the 1920s, the Regal Record Company supplied masters to many mid-priced record labels, including , , , and many other domestic and foreign labels. It ceased to operate as an independent record producer in July, 1929 when the company was merged along with and into the .
