Following the demise of Buddah Records circa 1986, the catalog & reproduction rights of that Company were acquired by Essex Entertainment, Inc. (among other acquisitions). The Buddah catalog (inc. works of Kama Sutra ) then passed to BMG in 1996 under the renamed Buddha Records label. See also Legacy.
