Philips Ton Gesellschaft mbH

German Philips record company, operating under this name from 1947 until 1967. Established on 28 March 1947 in Hamburg. The company was responsible for all phonographic activities (recording and mastering studios, marketing, distribution, as well manufacturing of phonographic devices) of the Philips label in Germany.
In 1950 „Philips Heimgeräte GmbH“, operating a stylus factory in Hamburg-Stellingen (which later became a research centre), was integrated.
In 1954, "Philips Ton" became part of the new German holding "Allgemeine Deutsche Philips Industrie GmbH“ (Alldephi), which itself was a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dutch N. V. Philips’ Gloeilampenfabriken.
Renamed to Phonogram Tongesellschaft mbH in December 1967.
