
Mass Appeal
American media company from New York City, founded as a graffiti magazine in 1996 by Patrick Elasik (deceased) and Adrian Moeller, it has since grown to include a magazine, website, film, television, music label, and creative agency following an acquisition by American rapper [a=Nasir Jones] and investment group White Owl Capital Partners which evolved into a merger with New York-based creative studio [l=Decon].
In 2014, the hip-hop record label was founded by Nas and [a=Peter Bittenbender] following a distribution deal with [l=Universal Music Group]. The label has since gone on to release music from artists including Nas, Run the Jewels, Fashawn, Bishop Nehru, Boldy James, J Dilla, Dave East, Mannie Fresh, Cuz Lightyear and DJ Shadow.
