U.S. label (1920-1925). Originally manufactured by the Federal Record Corporation of Albany, New York. The company was formed following reorganization of the Indestructible Phonographic Record Company, which had manufactured cylinders since 1906. Federal used its own masters, but also drew on masters from and the . Federal's Albany factory was destroyed by fire in 1922, but Federal continued to record at its New York studio and contracted its pressing to the . In 1924, Federal sold its label and remaining assets to the , which discontinued the label in 1925.
