
The Argentine Talking Machine Works
Argentinian record company and Shellac fatory, funded by [l=Max Glucksmann] under [l=Carl Lindström A.-G.] in October 1919. Prior to that, Odeon records for the Argentine market were pressed by Brazil's . It published various labels, including: [l=Odeon], [l=Disco Nacional], , [l=Disco Nacional Odeon] and [l=Disco Criollo Odeon].
While the earliest date of appeareance is November 1919, Glucksmann has been operating Odeon franchise since 1913, recording artists from his store [b]Casa Lepage[/b], the prototype that in 1919 becomes [l= Estudios Odeon, Argentina]
In 1931, after a series of mergers, it came under administration of [l=Electric & Musical Industries Ltd.]. It was rebranded [l=Industrias Eléctricas y Musicales Odeón S.R.L.] in 1936.
Earliest releases would read as "[b]Exclusividad Max Glucksmann, Buenos Aires[/b]", and from Nov. 1919 onwards "[b]Manufacturado Exclusivamente Para Max Glucksmann Por la Primera Fabrica Nacional de Discos de la Republica Argentina[/b]", eventually becoming "[b]Manufacturado Exclusivamente Para Max Glucksmann Por The Argentine Talking Machine Works Buenos Aires[/b]"
