GRT Record Pressing

Formerly [l=Mid-South Record Pressing Company], under this name from 1974 until the plant closed circa 1979. GRT Record Pressing was acquired by [l=GRT Corporation] in the 1969 buyout of [l=Chess Records].
GRT pressings may be distinguished by a "muffin"-style pressing ring area with a 1.125" inner ring; sometimes the letters "GRT" appear etched in runouts.
Pressings for US Polydor/PolyGram labels have Plant Code "75" printed on labels.
Pressings for US K-Tel releases have plant code "47" printed on the labels.
Pressings for Atlantic may have -GR printed on the labels.
