Time Inc.

Time Inc. was a worldwide mass media corporation founded on November 28, 1922 in New York City, U.S.A.. It owned and published over 100 magazine brands, including its namesake Time, Fortune, People, Life, Entertainment Weekly, InStyle and Sports Illustrated. In 1990, Time Inc. merged with Warner Communications Inc. to form the media conglomerate Time Warner. In November 2017, competing publisher and media company Meredith Corporation announced that it would acquire Time Inc. for $2.8 billion. The acquisition was completed on January 31, 2018.
