Subsidiary label of [l=Melodisc Records Ltd.] set up by [a=Emil Shallit] and [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/Siggy+Jackson]Siggy Jackson[/url] in August 1960 to record and distribute Jamaican music in the UK. Later the label also sponsored a popular ska night at the Marquee Club in London and played a major role in the popularisation of ska.
