[b]Playboy Records[/b] (part of Hugh Hefner's Playboy Enterprises) was a pop/country label that had its most successful period between 1972 and 1975 with artists like [a=Barbi Benton], , , and [a=Mickey Gilley]. Originally distributed independently, near the end of its existence it used CBS Records Distribution.
The label folded in 1978, only to be relaunched as the label, now part of [l=Concord Music Group]. The original label's back catalog is now managed by Sony Music's Legacy Recordings unit.
