Polar

Polar is a Swedish label, founded in summer 1963 by [a=Stig Anderson] & [a=Bengt Bernhag] as a part of the [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Sweden+Music+Ab]Sweden Music[/url] publishing company. The very first act they signed was ' band [b]West Bay Singers[/b] which eventually was rechristened to .
Bengt Bernhag was label's house producer until his death on 13 July 1971. After his death that role was overtaken by (until 1974).
The company was sold to [l=PolyGram] in 1989, and since 1999, Polar has operated as an imprint of [l=Universal Music AB].
