The "Note" logo usually appears on the top corners of the front- (colour) and/or back covers (black-and-white) of releases, accompanied by the circular EMI logo on a different corner of the release. Catalog numbers start with NTS, and the word "Note" appears on the labels, which initially are red EMI lettering on tan background. The "Note" logo is often printed in black-and-white on back covers, right next to EMI Records Ltd (Hayes Middlesex England, Made and printed in Great Britain.)
Later releases feature the cream EMI label, without the word "Note". The "Note" logo on the front cover also appears in black-and-white on these later versions.
Releases where the "Note" logo appears as a stand alone label are also known, [r=7880690] being a case in point.
"Note" releases using an EMI branded label could possibly be designated as a series.
