Lowlands

Lowlands was launched in 1992 by [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/DJ+Low]Tom De Weerdt[/url]. Through Lowlands a variety of labels are distributed in Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg coming from different musical backgrounds. The Lowlands catalogue includes releases in the field of house, nu lounge, drum 'n bass, dub, exotica, latin, breakbeat, contemporary, experimental electronica and jazz.

In order to give an artistic platform to musical talents of all kind, six independent sublabels were created: Lowlands, Downsall Plastics, Audioview, Surprise, Super, Musique Belgique Archive.

End of may 2008, within a declining market, Lowlands decided to terminate its distribution activities and further focus on the sublabels.
