LaserVideo, Inc. was a wholly owned subsidiary of Chicago company Quixote. It had two plants, one in Anaheim, California, which manufactured video discs, and one in Huntsville, Alabama, which manufactured audio discs. Anaheim started mass production in January 1986 & Huntsville started production in October 1986 (or on 25 Nov 1986; sources disagree).

On January 15, 1988, after a period of negotiations with the Disctronics group, the parent company Quixote Corporation sold its 2 LaserVideo, Inc. plants which then became known as Disctronics Manufacturing, Inc. See [l=Disctronics USA]

After Disctronics failed to pay the remaining balance after the sale, both plants were acquired back by the Quixote Corporation on April 30, 1990, where the name was then changed from Disctronics Manufacturing, Inc., to Disc Manufacturing, Inc.

The matrix of Laservideo releases contains a sequential 4 or 5 digit number with the prefix WO# or CI. This number may be added in the appropriate space of the LCCN section.
