Ab Discophon Oy

Ab Discophon Oy was a Finnish company founded in 1956 to represent [l=RCA] in the Finnish markets until late 1980's. (The next dealer with RCA was [l=BMG Ariola OY].)

The own label [l=Kerberos] was established in 1979. The other labels by Discophon were MCA/[l=MCA Records], [l=Musica (5)] and Q.

Since 1983 Discophon handled with [l=Sonet], when Discophon–Sonet was owned as 50/50 from Sweden and Finland. In Sweden Sonet was sold to [l=PolyGram] in 1991. After that within 1992 Marie-Louise Höeg, [a=Gugi Kokljuschkin], [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/483253-Johan-Vikstedt]Johan "Mosse" Vikstedt[/url], [a=Maija Kuusi] and Hans-Ove Regen sold the Finnish branch to [l=Musiikki-Fazer].

The catalog is owned by [l=Warner Music Finland Oy] since 1994.
