"playHOUSE" was founded in September 1993 by [a=Heiko Schäfer] aka [a=M/S/O] and Atanasios Christos Macias aka [a=Ata]. It was distributed via Neuton.
Playhouse was founded as a sisterlabel of [l=Klang Elektronik]. It focused more on the house side of things, while Klang Elektronik releases music that is more techno-orientated. The label is a collaboration with [a=Roman Flügel] and [a=Jörn Elling Wuttke] (aka [a=Acid Jesus] or [a=Sensorama]), who control the output of Klang Elektronik.
