This budget reissue label, sometimes referred to as Midi Records, was launched in 1972 by WEA International Inc. and used by several international branches in Europe and Australia.

Initial releases were a product of Kinney Music GmbH. The company was renamed in late 1972 to WEA Musik GmbH but began operations not before early 1973, so it is unlikely that releases with a WEA credit were released in 1972.

The UK label was introduced in November 1974. Pressings with 'Made in UK' and (c) (p) 1973 exist, but the combination country = UK and release date = 1973 is impossible.
