Lynic

Lynic was a CD/DVD manufacturer in England active from 1988 until going into administration in early 2007. The company began in-house CD replication in 2000 and DVD replication in 2005.
In April 2006 Lynic purchased a CD/DVD manufacturing plant in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales formerly owned by [l=kdg] (see ). The closure of this plant followed in early 2007.

· Broker companies including (CMS), [l=Clear Sound And Vision] (CSV) and (NMS) can be credited with Manufactured By when named in the matrix.
· The 5- or 6-digit matrix number can be entered as the catalogue# for Lynic.
· Before Lynic began in-house glass mastering (indicated by mastering SID code LV81), the matrix may have somewhat different layout/font and will have different mastering SID codes, but should at least contain a 5-digit matrix number.
· Lynic did not begin in-house replication until 2000, so any disc with mould SID code KA** must date from 2000 or later.
· Discs manufactured on behalf of Lynic before 2000 may exist with entirely different SID codes.
· SID codes LP57 and 5H** were inherited from after the acquisition of that manufacturing plant
