Fame Recording Studios

FAME (Florence Alabama Music Enterprises) is a US recording studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The studio is associated to the label Fame and the company Fame Records.

It was founded by Mother Man, Billy Sherrill and Tom Stafford in 1959 and originally located in Florence, Alabama above City Drugstore. In 1960, Hall became sole owner and relocated the studio to Muscle Shoals. In late 1961, the studio was built at the location it remains today.
