The facility was used as a cinema before [a=Anders Burman] opened Metronome Studio for his [l=Metronome] label in the 1950s. The studio was initially run by Anders Burman and [a=Börje Ekberg] along with resident sound technician , who worked as chief engineer between 1954-1980. Anders Burman sold the facility in 1979 to [l=WEA International Inc.], thus becoming [l=WEA-Metronome Studio], who subsequently sold it in 1983 to [a=Janne Hansson] and his wife [a=Katarina Sandberg Hansson] who renamed it [l=Atlantis Studio].
