Record label established in June 1987. It was a merger of the former [l=EMI America] label and [l=Manhattan Records]. In September 1988 the label was discontinued and the catalog# was transferred to Capitol Records and [l=EMI USA]; despite this, the EMI Manhattan branding was retained on represses of the label's catalog (e.g. [r6524157], which was released between the mid-1990s and 2004 based on the glass master). Please make sure you enter the label that matches the logo on your item: [l=Manhattan Records] or [l=EMI-Manhattan Records].
