Sound 80 Studios

Recording and mastering studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA), associated with Sound 80 Studios label. Founded in 1969 by Tom Jung and Herb Pilhofer.

The studio's Record Mastering Center was built around the first Neumann VMS-70 computer controlled lathe installed in the US (in January 1970), connected to a console of Sound 80's own design and manufacture.

Engineers known to have worked here: Tom Jung (chief), Bob Berglund, Paul Martinson, Scott Rivard, David Rivkin and Mark Durenberger.
