Polyfar
Series promoting electric recordings, started by the [l=Deutsche Grammophon-Aktiengesellschaft] in spring 1927 and used on both [l=Grammophon] and [l=Polydor] labels.
Polyfar recordings, also called Polyfar Raumton-Aufnahmen, were no longer made in small recording studios but in large concert halls. With the help of at least two microphones, one stationed near the orchestra, one near the soloist, they tried to capture the sound quality of these larger venues and make the recordings sound more life-like and less tinny.
