In 1931 [b](EMI)[/b] was formed through the merger of Columbia Graphophone Company Ltd. and . Following the merger the operations of Parlophone Co. Ltd., Columbia Graphophone (Aust.) Ltd. and were brought together under one administrative control with the record production operations of the three companies being centralised at "Columbia's" Homebush factory.
