CBS/Sony Records Inc.

Japanese record and manufacturing company established in March 1968.

It was a 50/50 joint-venture between Sony and [l=CBS Inc.] and operated the [l=CBS/Sony] label in Japan.
It did so until August 1973, when the company was renamed to [l=CBS/Sony Inc.]
The manufacturing department was subsequently split off from the new company and continued under the CBS/Sony Records, Inc. name. The name disappeared from records however.

Many releases that were manufactured by CBS/Sony Records, Inc. have "MANUFACTURED BY CBS/SONY RECORDS INC" around the center hole. When this appears, enter a "Manufactured By" credit for CBS/Sony Records, Inc.
When "CSR" appears, enter "Pressed By" credit for [l=CSR (2)].
For "CSR Compact Disc" use [l=CSR Compact Disc]
