Palette

Defunct Belgian label, also appears as "Palette Records". Label Code: LC 0297 / LC 00297.

Founded in New York in 1958 by [a=Jacques Kluger] to supplant [l=Victory (5)]. It was linked to the publishing company [l=World Music (5)], which was taken over by [l=BMG] in 1989. Palette's main market were the Benelux countries, but they were also active in various foreign markets. Since 1968 they were distributed in the USA by [l=MGM Records]. In September 1975 they made a distribution deal for Belgium with [l=International Bestseller Company], releasing in conjunction with [l=Bestseller] and [l=Sounds Superb].
