United Artists Records, Inc.

US record company that was established in 1957. It was the parent company of the [l=United Artists Records] label. The company was acquired in May 1967 by [l=Transamerica Corporation] and absorbed into the group. After a major restructuring, United Artists Records Inc. was re-established in February 1971 when re-named from In September 1974 it was succeeded by [l=United Artists Music And Records Group, Inc.]
