Studio (formerly a boathouse) in London, England, UK, situated on the south-west bank of the River Thames at Ranelagh Drive by Twickenham Bridge, owned by [a=Pete Townshend].
In 1975, Pete Townshend bought The Boathouse (see [l=Boathouse Studios]) that became home of [l=Eel Pie Sound] and [l=Oceanic Studios, Twickenham].
As from September 1981, the studios became known as Eel Pie Studios, as they were rebuilt and run as a commercial operation and were the location for a number of rock and pop recordings.
In 1989, part of the upstairs of the building was taken over by [a=Cocteau Twins] and set up as studios.
Pete Townshend sold the property in 2008.
