US music publishing company founded by EMI Ltd. (EMI) on the 1st July 1976, specifically incorporated to acquire Colgems Music Corp. from Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc.

'Colgems-EMI Music Inc.' is affiliated to ASCAP (IPI #10397316) and was one of the primary ASCAP divisions of EMI Music Publishing until the acquisition of SBK Entertainment World Inc. in 1989, when "central" roles in US were replaced by acquired subsidiaries of SBK (in ASCAP example, that was EMI April Music Inc.)
