Plaza Sound Studios
Plaza Sound Studios was an American recording and mastering studio located at the Radio City Music Hall in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It's renowned as a home base of the Riverside Records jazz label in the 1950s, and for Edwin Ramones and Blondie recording their debut albums there. Plaza Sound was built in the 1930s by NBC as a rehearsal space for Arturo Toscanini and the NBC Symphony Orchestra, before the maestro relocated to Studio 8H; it was then used for the Radio City Music Hall organist rehearsals and some NBC broadcasts. The studio closed in 1979.
